It has been a memorable day for all Rotarians of Rotary club of Madurai West. There has been 48 New Rotarian PHF's and 18 New Non Rotarian PHFs along with 2 New Major Donors. All of them were rightly honoured for their noble task at Hotel Sangam on 13-Nov-2009.
Galaxy of PDG's along with District Governor A.Purushothaman adorned the dias. Rtn.PDG.S.Perianan of RI District 3210 gracefully accepted to be the Chief Guest and deliver the key note address. Rtn.PDG.P.Dhamodharan (in whose governorship this fete was achieved) and Rtn.PDG.M.Elangovan ( being the Rotary Foundation Chairman on this achievement) were rightly present to appreciate all the good hearts.
66 PHF Citations along with lapel pins were arranged in sequence. Infact, the dignataries on the dias had to stand for One Hour handing over the citations to our members.
Our Rtn.Khursheed was at her best in making announcements. There were close to 200 people : Rotarians and Guests put together. It was more like a mini-conference. The meeting lasted for 2 hours. After a sumptous dinner all of them dispersed with contentment.
Kudos to the team behind this even under the stewardship of Rtn.IPP.Viswanathan and Rtn.Lalji Vora ably assisted by Rtn.Meenakshisundaram, Secretary and Rtn.Ramsamy, Program Coordinator.
